    Responsibilities

    • The Recruiter is responsible for full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, and managing candidates through the hiring process.  
    • Considerable skill needed in various sourcing methodologies, interviewing techniques.
    • Strong consultative skills needed to build candidate relationships, evaluate and recommend candidates for both current openings and building a talent bench. 
    • Pro-actively understand hiring managers needs and provide high communication and follow up to candidates, internal colleagues and hiring managers.
    • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
    • Manage candidate assessment process; evaluate skill level, manage offer process, oversee background/reference checks and any necessary testing, etc
    • Must have extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and provincial laws regarding employment practices.
    • The Recruiter will be responsible for building a pipeline to support  positions fundamental to business operations.

     *** Please note this is a temporary assignment covering a maternity leave of 12-18 months.***

    Qualifications

    Essential Knowledge and Skills:

    • The successful candidate will possess a post- secondary degree preferably combined with a certificate in Human Resources from a recognized college or university.

    • A minimum of 2 years related experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

    • Previous experience with administration of an applicant tracking system considered an asset. Ability to coordinate and manage a variety of tasks/projects to meet tight deadlines.

    • Strong attention to detail and highly organized Ability to handle multiple projects with a high level of integrity and confidentiality as it relates to sensitive information.

    • Above average computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Internet.

    • You are an independent and flexible team player who is able to multi-task and organize effectively. Creative, outside the box thinker and problem solver

    • Member in good standing of the HRPA preferred.
